Local filmmakers Charlie Lewis and Cassidy Hill have completed their latest short film A Basement On A Hill. The film is funded by the Film and Television Institute’s OOMPF grant. Basement is a psychological thriller about a 16 year old called Anna who has extremely controlling parents and the lengths they will go to maintain that control.
The duo has made other shorts such as the rom-com Laundrette and their horror short Brood which won a WA Screen Award for screenplay (Mark Hudson). It also won Best Horror Short at the Bare Bones Horror Festival in Oklahoma and was in the prestigious Bradford Film Festival in UK.
