Eurasian of the Week

According to Wikipedia the term Eurasian is explained thusly:

“Eurasian is a term for people and ethnic groups of mixed European and Asian ancestry.

The word was originally coined during 19th century British India to refer to persons born of European fathers, primarily British, and South Asian mothers, primarily Indians. The term has seen some use in anthropological literature from the 1960s.

But here at Mr we know it means many more things besides. For example, sci-fi fans, our friends at Wipkipedia also reveal that Lexa Doig of the television series Andromeda and Stargate SG-1 is of Irish, Scottish and FIlipino descent. And in an arbitrary new feature here at our site we are naming her Eurasian of the Week. We sure that when she hears about this, she’ll be very honoured.

Elevate the Insignificant,

Mr Trivia
